What is Carrageenan Powder?

Carrageenan is a marine-derived gum extracted from red algae (Rhodophyceae). It is valued for its ability to form gels, provide viscosity, and stabilize emulsions. Carrageenan is commonly used as a vegan substitute for gelatin and works well in water-based formulations that require a clean, smooth texture.
