Hair Conditioning Anti-Frizz Shine Enhancer Water Dispersible Professional Haircare Silicone Emulsion

Supplied as a cosmetic raw material for formulation use.

What It Does

Amodimethicone forms a lightweight conditioning film on the hair surface, helping reduce friction, improve combability, enhance shine, and control frizz. Its amino-functional structure allows preferential deposition on damaged areas of the hair, providing more targeted conditioning than many standard dimethicone systems.

Key Benefits

  • Provides excellent conditioning and softness.
  • Improves wet and dry combability.
  • Helps reduce frizz and flyaways.
  • Enhances shine and smoothness.
  • Supports protection against mechanical damage.
  • Offers targeted deposition with reduced buildup.

Typical Use Levels

  • 0.5–2% — Leave-in sprays and lightweight conditioning products
  • 1–4% — Shampoos and rinse-off conditioners
  • 2–6% — Hair masks and intensive treatments

How to Incorporate

  • Add during the cool-down phase or final manufacturing stage.
  • Mix gently to avoid destabilizing the emulsion.
  • Can be incorporated into shampoos, conditioners, masks, and leave-in products.

Formulation Notes

  • Compatible with many cationic conditioning systems.
  • Frequently used alongside BTMS, cationic guar, and conditioning polymers.
  • Provides superior shine compared to many non-silicone alternatives.
  • Useful for damaged, chemically treated, or color-treated hair.
  • Often found in salon-quality conditioners and repair treatments.

Common Applications

  • Shampoos
  • Hair conditioners
  • Hair masks
  • Leave-in conditioners
  • Anti-frizz treatments
  • Heat protection products

One of the industry's favorite conditioning silicones because it actually knows where the damaged hair is and goes there first. More selective than most humans.

For water-based hair serums

I used this product to make a water-based hair de-frizzing serum. It works so well that I don’t haveuse an oil that tends to weigh my hair down. I love this stuff!
