Yellow Beeswax is a cosmetic-grade, unrefined natural wax directly obtained from honeybee hives. Known for its skin-protective and structuring properties, it adds body, shine, and occlusiveness to balms, ointments, and creams. It’s commonly used in natural skincare and lip products due to its soothing, breathable finish and gentle performance on sensitive skin.

    Commonly Used In:

    • Lip balms, glosses, and butters
    • Cold creams and body balms
    • Stick foundations and blushes
    • Ointments, salves, and healing balms
    • Natural deodorants and lotion bars
  • What is Yellow Beeswax?

Yellow Beeswax is a natural wax secreted by honeybees and minimally processed for cosmetic use. It retains its characteristic golden hue and mild honey-like scent, and is widely used to structure oil-based formulations, thicken emulsions, and create protective films over skin and lips. It provides a natural alternative to synthetic or petroleum-based thickeners.

    Why Use Yellow Beeswax?

    • Natural & Traditional: Widely used in herbal, apothecary, and natural skincare recipes
    • Skin Barrier Support: Forms a breathable layer to help reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL)
    • Gloss & Texture: Adds shine and smooth glide to lip products and emulsions
    • Stabilizer: Helps thicken and stabilize O/W emulsions
    • Soothing: Gentle and non-comedogenic, suitable for sensitive or dry skin

    Performance Highlights

    • Compatible with butters, oils, and esters
    • Builds rich texture and hold in balm and stick formats
    • May enhance water resistance in SPF and barrier products
