What is Thickening Clay Gel?

This gel is a pre-neutralized dispersion of Disteardimonium Hectorite, a clay-based rheology modifier. It allows easy thickening of oil, silicone, or ester-based systems. Common in color cosmetics, sunscreens, and balms, it helps maintain uniform texture, prevents separation, and improves the suspension of powders or actives without grit or stickiness.

Formulation Tip:

How to Use

Add directly to the oil phase. No pre-swelling or neutralization required. Mix until uniform before combining with water phase (if applicable).
