Dermal Support Structure & Density Long-Term Firmness Minimal INCI Pro-Grade Active Premium Concentrate

What It Does

Formononetin is a bioactive isoflavone used in advanced cosmetic formulation for its ability to support dermal-level pathways associated with skin structure and firmness. Unlike instant tightening agents, this ingredient is designed to improve skin behavior gradually with consistent use, resulting in a more supported, resilient, and visibly firmer look over time.

Key Benefits

  • Supports visible improvements in firmness and dermal quality with continuous use
  • Helps promote the look of denser, more resilient skin structure over time
  • Contributes to “structural glow” by improving overall skin quality rather than surface shine
  • Minimal, focused active system for maximum formulation flexibility
  • Ideal for premium serums, emulsions, and professional-style treatment formulas

Performance Profile

Formulated and used at appropriate levels, CDF Dermal Support Factor™ supports visible improvements in skin firmness and dermal quality beginning in as little as 2–3 weeks, with progressive strengthening of skin structure over continued use.

Designed for cumulative dermal support, this ingredient delivers results through biological signaling pathways rather than temporary surface effects.

Formulation Guidelines

  • Designed for use in formulas containing glycols or within emulsions for best clarity and performance.
  • Premix into the glycol phase when possible (Propanediol, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin) before adding to water-based systems.
  • Add during cool-down (≤40 °C).
  • Low-solvent “water-only” gels may haze if overdosed. This reflects solubility limits, not necessarily loss of efficacy.
  • Avoid high-electrolyte systems (high salt/mineral load) which can disrupt solubility and clarity.
  • Recommended pH range: ~5.0–6.5 (typical skincare range).

Compatibility

  • Compatible with niacinamide, NAG, peptides, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, ectoin, and most botanical extracts
  • Compatible with standard O/W emulsions and serum systems containing humectants/glycols
  • Use caution with heavy salt systems or mineral-rich formulations

Common Applications

  • Long-term firming and dermal maintenance serums
  • Barrier-support and recovery formulations
  • Premium emulsions focused on resilience and skin structure
  • Professional-grade treatment systems
  • “Structure-first” formulas where dermal quality is the priority
