Usage: Alpha Lipoic Acid is extremely hydrophobic and heat sensitive. Strictly keep away from heat and water. It is soluble in glycerine, Propylene Glycol, Propandiol and some oils and often requires special handling in formulations to maintain stability and efficacy.
If used in a water based formulation, add it after the emulsion is formed.
ALA is typically used at 0.5% to 2% in skincare formulations.
